If you are doing an engagement shoot, one of the first things you think about is where you would want the photos to be taken. Your photographer should help you with this as they will know the best spots for photos. I always suggest locations for each of my couples and work with them to find somewhere that is going to be authentic and meaningful for them.
It’s helpful to think about how you would describe yourselves as a couple and what things you both enjoy doing together. This lets me tailor the session to you! I LOVE it when couples pick a location that is special or sentimental to them in some way. Like J & A in this post, we shot at their beautiful minimalistic London home and I couldn’t think of a more special or meaningful place for the shoot. Funny enough, this wasn’t even in the plans, we were due to shoot at Hampstead Heath, which was local to them but the weather had other intentions, and led to this intimate engagement shoot at home 🙂

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the beautiful Northbrook Park later this year.
If you want to see more engagement shoots, here’s a Brighton beach engagement shoot and an Engagement Shoot in Winter.
