“Only a closed heart seeks protection. An open heart always seeks expansion.”

I came across this line whilst listening to a podcast a while ago and there is so much truth in it! Love never wants or needs to be protected, only our fears do. Inside all of us, we have the capacity to love infinitely. Yet we want to feel secure by building a wall around our heart, lulled by a false sense of safety where we are ‘being careful’ and ‘don’t trust easily’.

The more we feel the need to store love as if it’s going to run out, the quicker it’s going to slip through our hands. Love isn’t precious, it’s simply priceless. Love grows when you give, and even more so when you do it without the need to receive it back.
